Oil leak detection Systems
We aren’t just specialists in water leak detection systems. We also supply, specify, install and maintain a wide range of fuel oil leak detection systems that provide alarm monitoring of substances such as diesel and heating oils, as well as some chemicals and acids. From single zone oil leak detection or more complex multi zone alarms right through to those capable of monitoring for a number of different fluids all from one unit, we can link to a BMS, utilize visual and audio alarms and shut off the flow via valves or by controlling pumps.
OilBug - Single Zone Oil Leak Detector
The OilBug is an economical method of identifying the presence of oil leaks and other substances. It uses a dedicated Redeye oil leak detection sensor, which employs sophisticated Optoschmitt technology to determine opaque liquids. Up to two Redeye sensors can be connected to this oil leak detector to enable more than one zone to be monitored simultaneously. When fuel oil is identified and the Redeye detects a change in the refractive index, the OilBug immediately goes into alarm. There are two versions of this product available: the BMS OilBug, which has no localised audio-visual alarm and connects to a BMS; and the OilBug+, with the same functionality but is fitted with a local audio-visual alarm on the panel. The OilBug operates from either the mains or an external 12 – 24 VAC supply.
Example applications: fuel oil tanks, fuel feed pipelines, boiler houses and plant room oil leak detection.
Redeye 1 - Combined Leak Detection System
The Redeye 1 can simultaneously monitor for both complex liquids such as diesel and heating oil, as well as water. The Redeye 1 uses opto-electronic sensor probes, which identify a change in the refractive index of a surface area being monitored. When triggered, an audio-visual alarm is initiated. The Redeye 1 can be connected to a BMS, mechanical valves and pumps and/or alert a machine control system via relays. A battery backup is available to allow the system to remain functional after a power outage.
Example applications: Oil/diesel storage tanks, fuel feed pipelines, boiler houses and plant room leak detection.
RGO - Multi Zone Fuel Oil Leak Detection System
The RGO monitors for complex liquids such as fuel oil, as well as some chemicals and acids. The RGO offers coverage of up to 32 individual areas, utilising Redeye sensor technology, which identifies a change in the refractive index of the surface being monitored. When triggered, an audio-visual alarm is initiated and can be connected to other systems via two changeover relays. The RGO has a battery backup available, allowing the system to remain functional after a power outage.
Example applications: Fuel oil storage tanks, fuel feed pipelines, boiler houses and plant rooms.
